1.General Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website. By accessing and ordering from this website you agree to be bound by the terms set out below. Any contract formed between ourselves shall be governed by Sri Lankan Law and any disputes that arise will be resolved exclusively in the Courts of Sri Lanka.

2.Content & Amendments
We take care and time to try and ensure our website is as accurate as possible, both in terms of prices displayed and description of products and services. All measurements displayed are approximate and any errors will be wholly unintentional. We take no responsibility for colours of products not matching the colour displayed on your monitor as this depends entirely on the colour reproduction and capabilities of your screen.
We may make changes to the website at any time without notice or warning, including:
- Changes to these terms and conditions
- Changes to promotions, offers and discounts
- Changes to content and product information
- Temporary or permanent withdrawal of the website
3.Pricing
Prices displayed are in American Dollars and exclusive of VAT.
Where Sale prices are quoted, the normal price will have applied either online or in-store for at least 28 consecutive days in the last six months.
Whilst we endeavour to ensure all prices are correct at time of publication, we reserve the right to reject an order should there have been a material error in the price advertised at time of order.
4.Placing An Order
Once you have completed your online purchase, we will send an email confirmation containing details of your order. This confirmation does not act as acceptance of your order as this is subject to the following:
- The product being in-stock and available for delivery
- The information and pricing being accurate
- Fraud and identity checks being passed (for which we use 3rd party services)
- Payment being authorised
Subject to the above, we will despatch your order and send an email confirmation to let you know it’s on its way. It is at this point that a contract will exist under these terms and conditions.
5.Third party laboratory tests
All products in our store can get certified at the National Jem & Jewellery Authority. If you need to certify the gemstone you bought with third party reliable laboratory, there maybe added some charges for that.
6.Warrenty & Guarantee
The materials selling on Tapro Gems website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Tapro Gems does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete or current. Tapro Gems may make changes to the materials contained on the website at any time without notice.
But we can guarantee the quality of the product on the Tapro Gems shop. We believe that all of our products are of the highest quality and will guarantee everything against manufacturing defects. These rights are additional to and do not detract from your statutory rights.
7.Finance & Payments
Make your payments directly into our bank account. Please use your Order ID as the payment reference. Your order will not be shipped until the funds have cleared in our end. The bank account details will be appeared after placing the order. Feel free to contact us before you placing the order.
8.Shipping
- Inform the delivery person and take pictures of the packaging in front of the delivery person. The delivery person should update it as damaged package on their system.
- Open the packaging and check if the content inside the metal box is damaged. Take pictures of this as well.
- Email the pictures to relevant courier service complain sector with mentioning the delivery tracking code & add us for the carbon copy (CC). info@taprogems.com
- Do not accept any damaged package.
9.Copyright & Intellectual Property
All website content, copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights available when using this website shall remain the property of Tapro Gem. Without the written permission of Tapro Gems, is strictly prohibited to copy and print sections of this site.
10.Return Procedure
We offer money-back guarantee, for returns made within 14 business days of receipt of order subject to the shipping charges, payment gateway charges & bank transaction charges being borne by the consumer and the following special conditions.
- Once we receive the returned order, the product(s) will undergo a laboratory test to confirm the product(s) to be of original condition.
- The return product(s) must be sent in original packaging along with the gemstone certificate. For security reasons, do not write “gemstones” or “jewellery” anywhere on the package.
- Tapro Gems will not accept a refund if the product(s) have been set, scratched, chipped, fractured, treated, altered in any way inclusive of size measurements or is weighing differently.
- Tapro Gems will aim to process the refund of the original purchase value fixed at USD rate within 14 business days only where the product(s) are confirmed to be in original condition.
- When Tapro Gems confirms the product(s) are in original condition, refunds will be made available within 14 business days. However, please allow up to one billing cycle for the transaction to show on your statement.
- We reserve the right to decline returning service to individuals whom we feel we cannot properly accommodate.
- The consumer is responsible for the shipping charges, any customs fees, taxes and duties owed in the consumer’s country.
- We adhere to the chargeback policy of our payment gateway providers. Payment gateway charges & bank transaction charges will be reduced from the payback amount.
Please note: we strongly recommend that you do not attach your gemstone with any jeweller until you fully intend to purchase it. Orders cannot be cancelled upon being confirmed. If you change your mind after the order has been confirmed, please follow the above stated return procedure.
